Cookies & privacy
Plain-language summary of what Playtale stores and why.
Essential cookies and storage
When you sign in, we keep a small amount of data in your browser so you stay signed in and your story progress is saved. These are strictly necessary for the site to work and cannot be switched off. We also remember your cookie choice so we don't ask again.
Optional cookies
Only if you choose "Accept all" do we use optional cookies to understand which stories are played and where people get stuck. Choosing "Essential only" means none of these are set, and the site still works exactly the same.
What we store about you
Your account email (used to sign in, never shown publicly), your username, profile picture and bio, the stories you create, the stories you favourite, and your play sessions.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and content deleted. Editing your profile updates your data instantly; for deletion or a copy, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Changing your mind
You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings; the banner will appear again on your next visit.
